Learn how to upload documents, highlight text, and use YiRead's AI tools quickly.

Quick start

After logging in, click Upload in your library and choose a PDF or EPUB file. Drag-and-drop is supported up to 100 MB.

Select any passage you do not understand or want to explore further. A tool menu will appear automatically.

Choose the action you need from the menu, such as explanation, translation, or citation generation, and YiRead will respond right away.

Select a difficult passage and choose Explain. YiRead will clarify the meaning, background, and related ideas in plain language.

For more complex concepts, choose Video and YiRead will generate a guided explanation with visuals and narration.

You can save AI explanations as notes with underline highlights, or add your own notes manually.

After adding friends, you can see their reading progress and notes, encourage each other, and send study reminders.

YiRead currently supports PDF and EPUB, with more document types planned in the future.

Single files can be up to 100 MB, which is enough for most reading materials.

All documents are transmitted and stored securely, and we do not expose your content publicly.

Yes. Your documents and notes sync through the cloud so you can continue reading on any device.
